You’ll also have the chance to enjoy a perfect Vermont summer with stargazing, campfires, and walks along streams, lakes, and beautiful woodland paths!

We welcome pianists of all ages and levels! The program is equally suited to aspiring professionals, adult amateurs and lifelong learners, teachers looking for artistic renewal. Regardless of your background, you'll come away from Piano Camp with the tools, inspiration, and network that will take your playing to the next level. Here are just a few of the offerings of the program:

  • Personalized Instruction: 3 private lessons (per session) with acclaimed master teachers, with an "open door policy" allowing observation and continuous learning
  • Perform For Others: Optional performance opportunity at the end of each session
  • Engaging Presentations and Workshops: Curated events on practical, essential topics, with the opportunity to ask questions and participate!
  • Practice Immersion: Plentiful practice time on 47 grand pianos, with nearly one practice studio for each participant
  • Farm-to-Table Dining: On-campus dining featuring delicious, freshly prepared meals and round-the-clock snacks

Dominic Cheli (Session 1 + 2)

Dominic Cheli, an “inspired keyboardist” (ArtsFuse), has performed at Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and major festivals. Head of Tonebase Piano, he champions accessible music education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. Noah Hardaway (Session 1 + 2)

“A technically gifted young virtuoso” (Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia), prizewinning pianist Noah Alden Hardaway has forged a path as a concert artist, teacher, and artistic co-director. His passion for curating inclusive, unconventional projects drives his work as Assistant Head of Piano at tonebase and other dynamic festivals.

Lisa Yui

Described as “a musical phenomenon” (Pianiste magazine), Yamaha Artist Lisa Yui enjoys a multifaceted musical career as pianist, lecturer, teacher, author, and musical director. She is currently on the faculty of the Juilliard Extension.

Robert Durso

Robert Durso

A leading light in the field of piano technique pedagogy, Robert Durso worked extensively with Dorothy Taubman and Edna Golandsky. He developed the teacher training program at the Golandsky Institute that professionally trains teachers in the Taubman Approach.

Sara Davis Buechner
Session 2
Sara Davis Buechner

Sara Davis Buechner is one of the most original and accomplished concert pianists of our time. Lauded for her “intelligence, integrity and all-encompassing technical prowess” (New York Times), “Buechner has no superior” (Japan's InTune). Medalist at the Tchaikovsky Competetion and a bouquet of other esteemed contests, Ms. Buechner teaches at Temple University.

Henry Kramer

Praised for his “astonishingly confident technique” (Cleveland Classical Review) and “thrilling performances” (NY Times), pianist Henry Kramer won Second Prize at the 2016 Queen Elisabeth Competition. A versatile performer and sought-after teacher, he’s a Steinway Artist and faculty at Columbus State University.

Jeremy Siskind, a jazz pianist, composer, and educator, is a Yamaha Artist whose acclaimed albums and best-selling instructional books shape modern jazz pedagogy. He teaches at Fullerton College and collaborates globally.

The One-on-One Lesson Experience

  • Three Private Lessons Per Session – Each participant receives three personalized private lessons in each session, all tailored to support their artistic and technical growth.
  • Faculty Selection – Participants can request their preferred faculty for private lessons.

Open-Door Policy: Learn from Every Lesson

All private lessons follow an open-door policy, allowing participants to observe any session (with the student's permission, of course!). This immersive approach fosters a collaborative and inspiring learning environment, where pianists gain valuable insights from different teaching styles, techniques, and interpretations from our diverse faculty. Watching a variety of lessons helps deepen musical understanding, offering thought-provoking perspectives on phrasing, technique, and artistry.

  • Communal Meals in a Convivial Setting

    With our All-Inclusive tier, enjoy delicious, chef-prepared meals at the on-campus dining hall, accommodating all dietary needs, while mingling with faculty and fellow participants.

  • Piano Ensemble Playing

    Join forces with new friends to play 4-hand, 6-hand, and more-hand music! 

    Plus: practice 2-piano works in one of the many two-piano studios.

    With the support of an on-site music library (and lightning-fast internet for IMSLP and other score downloads), there are opportunities to form groups and collaborate beyond solo playing.


  • Performance Opportunities

    Take the stage at the Session 1 and Final Recitals! Whether you prefer to play solo or collaborate with new friends, participation is optional but encouraged.

    Participants will have the chance to connect in advance of the camp to arrange 4-hand and ensemble pieces. This is a great opportunity to share your progress and the music you love with everyone!

Beyond the Music


One of the best aspects of Piano Camp is its setting: almost a hundred and fifty acres of natural beauty make the perfect canvas for this musical retreat.

  • Hike, bike, or swim –– Revel in the fresh mountain air with classic outdoor activities, thanks to trails, biking paths, and swimming holes near the campus.
  • Massage therapy –– After a full day of music-making, decompress with an on-site massage (subject to availability, additional cost may apply)
  • Campfire nights –– Gather around the fire, sip a drink, and have s'more fun toasting marshmallows.
  • Stargazing –– Enjoy some of the darkest night skies in the continental USA, plus a guided look at the planets with a guest astronomer!

What does a day at the event look like?

7am – 9am | Breakfast at your own pace

Enjoy breakfast on your own time from a delicious spread of continental options.

9am – 12pm | Lessons and practice

Mornings are dedicated to private lessons and individual practice, allowing participants to refine their repertoire with guidance from faculty.

12pm – 1:15pm | Lunch (on-campus with faculty and participants)

A communal, chef-prepared meal provided on campus in the dining hall, offering a chance to connect with faculty and fellow participants in a relaxed setting.

1:30pm – 3:30pm | Spotlight Event (masterclasses, presentations, discussions)

A rotating session featuring workshops, faculty presentations, and engaging discussions on interpretation, technique, and performance insights. The end-of-session performances are typically held during this slot.

3:45pm – 5:45pm | Lessons, Practice, and Studio Classes

Additional lessons and practice time, alongside small-group sessions where participants can share performances and receive feedback in a supportive group setting.

6:00pm – 7:15pm | Dinner

The evening meal, shared on-campus in the dining hall – a chance to reflect and discuss the events of the day among friends.

7:30pm – 9:00pm | Evening Recreation

Occasional evening faculty presentations, and also opportunities to set freeyour imagination: campfires, stargazing, late night chats and practice sessions.
